Our Bernedoodle puppies are part of our daily farm life, growing up with gentle hands and wide-open spaces in the Appalachian foothills.

Our Bernedoodle puppies are a small, seasonal part of our larger farm story. At DoodleBug Farm, our puppies are born and raised right inside our home, experiencing the sounds, sights, and gentle handling of daily family life from day one. This ensures they are well-socialized, confident, and ready to become cherished members of your family. They spend their days exploring our 9-acre homestead, playing on soft grass, and learning from their parents in a natural, nurturing environment. We believe this foundation builds steady temperaments and happy, well-adjusted companions. Our Mama dog Sasha generally has just one litter each year, and Our parent dogs are beloved family pets. We value the gentle, affectionate, people-loving nature of the Bernedoodle breed.

When we reach in to pet her babies, Sasha has become renowned for carefully putting her babies back in their bed so she can claim all the extra attention that comes with being a nursing mama. Between the special meals, extra treats, and belly rubs, being a mama seems to be her favorite state of being. That combination of loving motherhood and naturally affectionate, people-oriented personality makes Sasha the perfect mamma dog, as well as a much-loved member of our household and we feel fortunate to watch her grow and thrive alongside her lifelong companion, MacIntosh.

MacIntosh, or “Mac” as we affectionately call him, is our handsome 5-year-old AKC-registered Chocolate Standard Poodle. With his rich chocolate coat, gentle nature, and wonderfully laid-back personality, Mac is the kind of dog who seems to take life in stride. He is exceptionally smart and attentive, but never overly demanding or high-strung. Around the girls, he is especially calm and respectful, making him a wonderfully easygoing gentleman and a joy to have around our farm.

Mac is rarely far from his favorite companion, Sasha, our beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog. The two have become constant companions. Mac’s combination of intelligence, gentle temperament, and affectionate nature is exactly what we love about the Standard Poodle breed. He is a treasured part of our family and we look forward to seeing these wonderful qualities passed on to his puppies. Most of all, though, Mac is simply our sweet boy—a loyal companion who has made himself right at home as part of our busy farm family.

Sasha and MacIntosh as puppies

Sasha and MacIntosh have been together since they were puppies, and over the years they have become a truly bonded pair. Wherever Mac is, there is a very good chance Sasha isn't far away. They have grown up together, shared countless adventures, and seem to genuinely enjoy each other's company. Their relationship is one of those sweet little things we love watching here on the farm. When Sasha became a mother, she took to the job immediately. From the very beginning, she has been attentive and devoted to her puppies, keeping a watchful eye on them and making sure they are tucked safely into their bed.

Sasha is our beautiful 5-year-old AKC-registered Bernese Mountain Dog, and she brings a wonderful combination of affection, energy, and personality to our farm. She is a big-hearted girl who loves her people and thrives on attention. She is happiest when she is right in the middle of whatever is happening, preferably with someone giving her a little extra love and a treat or two along the way! Although she has plenty of energy and enjoys being part of farm life, she also has a wonderfully affectionate and gentle side that makes her such a special member of our family.
